Key Responsibilities:

• Lead audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring compliance with BDO methodology and international auditing standards (IFRS, ISA).
• Develop a thorough understanding of clients’ businesses, industries, and internal control environments.
• Perform risk assessments and substantive audit procedures to identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local regulations.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance, feedback, and support for their professional development.
• Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to delivering value-added insights.
• Collaborate with managers and partners across BDO’s global network.

• Represent BDO professionally at all times through punctuality, conduct, and appearance.
• Maintain accurate records of time and project progress.
• Meet deadlines and deliverables in line with engagement expectations.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Business.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in external audit.
• Working knowledge of IFRS and international auditing standards.
• Fluency in Azerbaijani; advanced English required; Russian is an asset.
• Experience auditing clients across various sectors.
• Progress toward ACCA qualification (preferably completion of fundamental level exams).
• Candidates with internal audit experience are also encouraged to apply.
