Key Responsibilities:
- Leading audit engagements for a portfolio of clients across various industries, ensuring completion within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Developing an understanding of clients' businesses, industries, accounting processes, internal control environments, key risks, and reporting requirements.
- Developing an understanding of the firm's audit approach and tools
- Assessing risks and evaluating the client's internal control structure.
- Preparing and reviewing audit planning documents, risk assessments, materiality calculations, and audit completion documentation.
- Performing substantive audit procedures and tests of controls to assess financial statement risks and identify accounting, control, and reporting issues.
- Managing audit engagements from planning through completion and reporting.
- Supervising and developing staff, i.e., coordinating staff projects, mentoring, counselling, appraising, recruiting, etc.
- Reviewing audit working papers prepared by junior team members and providing timely feedback.
- Assisting managers and partners in the preparation of audit reports, management letters, and client deliverables.
- Ensuring compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA), IFRS, and BDO audit methodology.

- Represent BDO professionally in all interactions with clients and colleagues.
- Maintenance of accurate records of time spent on each project.
